It was three days before Christmas in the monsoon of 2022. We were contacted by the executive team of local not-for-profit. They needed to reorganise the office layout and refresh the interiors of a three story office building that was not designed for their purposes. Challenges of sound proofing, way finding and an organisational sense-of-place were just some of the problems we solved. This projected started at the entrance with street art and custom corten steel planter boxes. We revived every part of the building with a economic balance of new and reused materials. At Olive & Pink, we specialise in making places feel like a natural response to the place and culture.
-Our spaces had become dated, and we felt our clients and staff both needed additional spaces to feel welcomed, supported and respected.
From the outset, we had a tight deadline and conservative budget for the vision and Josh was able to provide numerous options, suggestions and alternatives when required. He diligently researched best designs and options as well as run consultations sessions with the staff to understand their needs and kept management briefed along the way. -
